This product is compounded semaglutide — a preparation containing the same active ingredient as FDA-approved semaglutide products, made by a licensed compounding pharmacy. It is not FDA-approved, not Ozempic®, and not Wegovy®. Prescription required.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that has become the subject of some of the most consequential clinical research in modern medicine.
Published large-scale research on the semaglutide molecule has demonstrated effects well beyond weight loss — including a 20% reduction in major cardiovascular events recognized by the FDA as an approved indication, and emerging published research suggesting additional benefits for kidney health and other metabolic systems.
At Obsidian Genetics, we offer physician-supervised compounded semaglutide — one flat monthly price, personalized dosing, and ongoing provider support built in.

Semaglutide is a prescription medication. Your Obsidian Genetics provider will review your full health history before prescribing.
Do not use semaglutide if you or a family member have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Animal studies have shown a potential association between GLP-1 receptor agonists and thyroid tumors — the risk to humans is not yet fully established. Semaglutide is also not recommended if you have a personal history of pancreatitis.
